What is doomsday clock?
Doomsday means a time of catastrophic destruction and death.
It is a clock kept at University of Chicago , USA. It indicates hour hand of clock at 12 Midnight and Minute hand of clock before the 12. The more distance away the long hand is from 12 lesser is the feeling of danger of doomsday by the world.
A moment of historic danger 2024:
It is still 90 seconds to midnight
Every year this clock is set at certain minutes/seconds to midnight. This is set at 90 sec to 12 at present in Jan 2024. This indicates the summary of events in International security is in very alarming state. Any small event can trigger third world war . in fact the danger feeling by International community is due to three reasons
1. Climate change which is not realized correctly by the world
2. Development of neuclear weapons
3. Development of New technology like artificial intelligence and bio chemical warfares along with high computing power.
